Streetworks was started in 2007 by university students who were passionate about exposing their peers and others to the needs of communities in Hamilton, and who despite limited resources and experience, realised they still had the capacity to meet some of the needs they saw in their city.
Streetworks strives to meet its vision by facilitating projects and events, pairing willing volunteers with opportunities to serve.
STreetworks has three main aims:
Serving the communities of Hamilton City.
Providing a platform aimed at exposing people to the needs of our city.
Creating a community of people with a culture of active service and compassion for others.
