Streetworks April 2011
April 2011 also saw another successful community hangi take place as well as many exciting new projects! Streetworks also ran projects in Cambridge in partnership with Raleigh St Christian Centre.
The challenge for 2011 was to authentically live and communicate our values in all that we do. Post-event, it is easy to pull together numbers to indicate success and growth; but we’ve discovered success for Streetworks is much more than that. Success is hearts challenged; moments shared; connections made; prayers spoken. This measure of success is, unfortunately, immeasurable!
Since the last event, we felt God encouraging and challenging us to be more intentional about sharing our faith in Jesus and ministering to people as we bless them. The April 2011 event focused on our response to this challenge. We wanted to create opportunities to pray with and for people, share with them and speak into their lives in ways that are sensitive and appropriate. We want to give God the space to move in peoples’ lives through the conversations had.
